Film actress Manisha Koirala entered Nepal from Belahiya of Bhairahawa on the border of Rupandehi on Tuesday.
She came to Kathmandu after entering the country with her family members from Belahiya. He is said to have family members in a private vehicle with him.
Before entering Nepal from Indian soil, health workers at the border tested the health of actress Koirala and her family.
Chief District Officer of Rupandehi Mahadev Pantha said, "I have received information that he came to Nepal from Belahiya Naka but I do not know where he is staying."
Prem Thapa, spokesperson of the Nepal Army West Pratna, said that the army had no information about the arrival of the family, including actress Koirala, but that they had left for Kathmandu.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Khadka Bahadur Khatri of the District Police Office Rupandehi also confirmed that the Koirala family had entered Nepal.
He is being praised in Nepal for his statement on social media in favor of Nepali nationality during the Nepal-India border dispute. Koirala has been acting in Indian and Nepali films for decades.
