'Healthy Nepal' with epidemic
Moving forward with the national aspiration of 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali', the government has put forward an additional strategy of 'Healthy Nepal' along with the epidemic of corona virus infection. The government has emphasized on alternative treatment methods including Ayurveda to increase the immunity of the citizens.
The government has emphasized on the development of a culture of virtue that "I will not be corrupt, I will not allow corruption to happen, I will work honestly for the country and the people." The government intends to make corruption prevention and control work more effective.
The government has revived the 'Build Your Own Village' campaign after 26 years. In the same spirit, 'Food for Work' program will be implemented in the development works to be carried out at the local level. Under this program targeted at poor families, labor-intensive social and material development projects will be implemented. Similarly, the 'Prime Minister's Employment Program' has got continuity to implement public development works through labor-intensive technology. The
government aims to provide 200,000 jobs through the program .
Similarly, 'State Facilitation Identity Card' will be distributed to the households identified as poor from the survey through the local level within the next year. It has been stated that the programs related to poverty alleviation and social security run by various ministries in coordination with the local level will be integrated and targeted at the families who get 'state facility identity card'.
Similarly, 'One Product Pocket Area at Local Level' program will be implemented on the basis of local potential by restructuring 'Prime Minister's Agriculture Modernization Project'. An additional 250 pocket areas of agriculture and animal husbandry will be developed in the coming Fiscal Year. There will be at least one 'agricultural pocket area' at each local level.
The government has brought a special program 'Prosperous Terai Madhes Irrigation' in the productive Terai Madhes region. The budget has set a target of providing underground irrigation facility to 22,000 hectares of arable land in 25 districts of Terai and Inner Madhes next year.
The government aims to develop wood, non-timber and herb-based enterprises in forest production through the 'Forest for Prosperity' program. The embankment construction work including soil erosion control, rehabilitation of damaged land, agro-forestry, bio-engineering will be intensified by restructuring the 'Presidential Chure Conservation Program'.
The government has a plan to develop large tourism infrastructure in all the states under 'One State One Tourist Destination'. In order to promote domestic tourism, civil servants, organizations and private sector employees will be encouraged in 'Desh Darshan'.
The 'Public School Empowerment Decade Program' will be enhanced under the 'Presidential Educational Reform Program'.
Employment will be created by developing skills and entrepreneurship in women through 'Presidential Women's Upliftment Program'. Hydropower will be developed under the 'People's Investment in Nepal's Water' campaign.
The 'Bright Nepal' campaign will be launched to provide access to renewable energy to all families within two years. The 'Terai Madhes Prosperity Program' has been put forward for the economic and social development of the border districts which are lagging behind in the Human Development Index. Nepal's campaign for such filming has been continued.
