This Is The Preparation Of The Government To Repatriate Citizens From Abroad

The government has said that preparations to bring back Nepalis who want to return home due to coronavirus infection have reached the final stage.

As about 600,000 Nepalis living in the Gulf and other countries want to return home immediately, the Ministry of Labor has stated that they will be brought to Nepal within a week.

The government has started an initiative to bring back those who want to return home from foreign employment due to corona infection.

Citizens who wish to return home should update their personal details and undergo a medical examination as prescribed by the embassy of the country in which they are staying.

Arrangement has been made to return home only on the basis of health examination certificate from the health body or embassy of the concerned country.

Any Nepali citizen returning from the country concerned must stay in the quarantine set by the government.

The Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) is preparing to immediately return only the 14 priority citizens according to the situation and needs of the citizens who want to return home.

According to the Ministry of Labor, the embassies of the countries concerned have started collecting details on the number of citizens who want to return home immediately.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 600,000 Nepalis want to return home immediately.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Labor Suman Ghimire informed that they are preparing to bring up to 25 hundred Nepalis from 10 daily flights.

In this way, the citizens of Province No. 1 and 2 will be kept in Bhaktapur, while the citizens of Bagmati, Gandaki and Province No. 5 will be kept in various party palaces in Kathmandu and the citizens of Karnali and Far Western Province will be kept in Lalitpur as 'holding' areas.

They will undergo a general health check-up at the airport before being taken to the holding area.

After that, the government will provide vehicles to the concerned local level as soon as their health condition is re-checked.

The ministry has stated that any citizen who returns home voluntarily has to bear the expenses himself from the time he returns to the time he reaches home.
