Health workers are afraid to go to isolation

There is a crisis in the management of the district as the number of infected people has skyrocketed due to lack of necessary health infrastructure. Infections are increasing in all 10 local levels of the district. The situation here is deplorable due to lack of adequate quarantine and isolation.

Currently, there is a shortage of vacant buildings for isolation. As of Tuesday, the number of infected had reached 334. Those who have been infected have not been able to be cared for due to lack of necessary doctors and health workers.
Health workers are afraid to go to the isolation center at Aniruddha Secondary School in Yashodhara. On Monday, a policeman went to the health branch of the village to report that two people had diarrhea at the center. However, the health workers refused to go. She sent the medicine to the police. There are 88 people in isolation. There is an infection in the village municipality. The rest could not be brought. The isolation center built at Ayesha Girls College in Krishnanagar Municipality has been kept infected. Even there, health workers are afraid. "We don't have strong health care equipment," said one health worker. He said that he was taken care of from a distance. "We are praying to God that the infected will not have any problem," he said.
"Our knowledge, skills and abilities are up to the quarantine," said Jyotiprakash Dubey, head of Yashodhara's health department. "We don't go to isolation centers." He said that doctors and staff nurses are needed in such centers. There are no doctors.
There is a shortage of health workers in the district. According to the criteria, doctors, staff nurses and paramedical staff are mandatory in such centers. An ambulance is also needed. However, there are no doctors or staff nurses in the isolation of nine local levels except Mayadevi village municipality. Health workers are led by senior AHWs at the local level. Ward Chairman of Ward 7 Dinesh Chaudhary has posted a notice forbidding him from entering the isolation center after the health branch chief of Vijayanagar village municipality did not show up. An ambulance has to be rushed to collect the swab and take it for testing. District Corona has become a hotspot. In one month, 334 people became infected. More than 4,500 are in quarantine. Chief District Officer Dirghanarayan Poudel said that the meeting of the district level Corona Virus Crisis Management Committee immediately demanded 30 health workers. "We have demanded 10 doctors and 20 staff nurses," he said.
The reason for the increase in infections in the district is unorganized quarantine. "Our study has shown that quarantine infections are on the rise," said a World Health Organization official. Social distance has been ignored. There is no sanitation. The same toilet and hand pump are used. The room is overcrowded. 'There are 20 to 40 people sitting in the same room. As soon as one of them gets infected, it spreads to others, 'he said. He said it was more challenging as Corona was infected without any symptoms. "Even though the infection is on the rise in the district, the infection has not spread in the community yet," he said. "Even now, if quarantine is managed, the rate of infection will go down," he said.
Contact tracing here is weak. As the infection has progressed, no attention has been paid to it. Two consecutive contact traces have not been done in Yashodhara where 100 people have been infected. Initially, when 12 people became infected, 52 people filled out the form. However, due to lack of manpower and VTM, only 27 people were tested. "No one has been traced after 12 people," said Jyotiprakash Dubey, chief of the health department. There is no immediate situation. We have made a plan. I don't know when it will start. ' Contact tracing is also slow in Mayadevi village where 17 people are infected.

Political turmoil in management
Krishnanagar municipality chief Rajat Pratap Shah accused the state government of playing politics instead of helping to build an isolation center. "The state minister is allocating a good budget to the party-affiliated local level to build an isolation center," he said, "but he has not questioned those who have different views." Local levels are under attack in the border area. But he accused the government of sending substantial budgets to the hills and highways. 'Corona can't be won like this. For this, the state government should rise above the party and work, 'he said.' I am a person who has won the election independently. I do not belong to any party. '
Chairman of Yashodhara Village Municipality Girjesh Kumar Pandey accused the Chief Minister of looking at the party. He persuaded the chief minister to ask for a test kit but he did not send it even though he assured him. He alleged that the social development minister did not pick up the phone and did not come to Yashodhara, which is considered a hotspot for Corona. "Once we paid Rs 1 million, then the role of the state was reached," he said. Do this, do that. The problem is not asked. ' He alleged that when people ran away from the quarantine, everyone was happy and no one coordinated and cooperated.

Kapilvastu Municipality Chief Kiran Singh said that the state government minister did not pay attention to work in the field except giving speeches. "The test kits have to be bought by the municipality," he said. "Lab technicians have to be hired to work." Mayor Singh said that they had to be criticized for the raw work of the federal and state governments.
