Protesting the Rukum incident by tying a rope in his hand

Dailekh: A procession has been staged in Dailekh against the incident that took place in Rukum on May 25. 

In coordination with the National Dalit Journalists Association of Nepal, Dalit leaders have protested against the killing of five people including Nawaraj Bik of Ranagaun in Bheri Municipality-4 of Jajarkot in Soti village of Chaurjahari Municipality-8 of Rukum and the disappearance of one person. They have demanded strict action against the culprits.

Amar Sunar, central secretary of the National Dalit Journalists' Association of Nepal, said that the protest was organized with the slogan 'End caste discrimination', 'Even if Nawaraj Bik and his friends are killed, justice will not die'.

He said that a memorandum was sent to the Home Minister through the Chief District Officer of the District Administration Office, Yuvaraj Kattel. Central member of the National Dalit Liberation Organization Gopal Nepali handed over a memorandum and demanded that the dead be declared martyrs.
