In The Budget, There Are Discounts And Opportunity Programs Brought By The Government

The government will provide loans at 2 percent interest rate to entrepreneurs starting new businesses.

Finance Minister Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada presented the budget of the coming Fiscal Year 077/78 in the Parliament and the government has allocated Rs. 500 million in the budget of the coming Fiscal Year to provide interest subsidy to those who want to start an enterprise.

Presenting the budget, Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada informed that concessions are being provided to those who want to start a business.

50 billion fund for tourism entrepreneurs

Similarly, the government has announced to set up a fund of Rs 50 billion for tourism entrepreneurs. The fund, to be set up by Nepal Rastra Bank, will be able to take a loan at five percent interest to pay the workers and use it for running a business.

Similarly, the government has announced to increase the refinancing fund in Nepal Rastra Bank to Rs 100 billion for providing concessional loans.

Khatiwada informed that the budget has been allocated for the repatriation of Nepalis living abroad but whose visas have expired, are unemployed and have health problems.

The government is going to deposit the amount for the lockdown period of the workers registered in the social security fund. Entrepreneurs will be able to borrow the amount deposited and pay the salary now.

The government has announced to waive parking fees, renewal fees and infrastructure fees for airlines and administrative fees for construction, transport and tourism industries.

The government has announced a Rs 500 million startup fund for those who cover the business opportunities created by Corona.

Each branch of a commercial bank should provide concessional interest loan to at least 10 people and development bank to 5 people

Arrangement will be made for each branch of commercial bank and development bank to pay concessional interest.

In his budget speech for the coming fiscal year, Finance Minister Khatiwada announced that a concessional interest rate loan would be provided to at least 10 people by a branch of a commercial bank and to at least 5 people by a branch of a development bank.

He said that such arrangement would be made through NRB.
