Nepalgunj, May 3 A serious accident has taken place in Banke section of the East-West Highway. Twelve people have been killed in a high-speed vehicle accident at Thuriya Jungle in Raptisonari-2.
According to Banke Police, 11 persons were killed on the spot when a high-speed vehicle (Na 5 Kha 5995) heading to Salyan from Nepalgunj collided with a truck (Ba 4 Kha 9064).
One died at the hospital while undergoing treatment. The accident took place at 12:15 pm on Sunday, according to police. Medical Superintendent of Bheri Hospital Dr. According to Prakash Thapa, 11 men and one woman were killed.
21 people have been injured in the accident. The injured are undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj. The bodies of 11 people have been brought to Bheri Hospital. The list of the deceased has not been collected yet. The body has been kept at the mortuary of Bheri Hospital.
Twenty injured men and one woman are undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital. The condition of three of the injured is said to be critical.
The victims are said to be from different cities in India. They were being rescued from Nepalgunj and sent to Salyan. Thirty-three people were heading towards Salyan in a high-speed vehicle (Na 5 Kha 5995).
The bodies of the deceased have been kept at Bheri Hospital. Banke police are identifying the deceased.
